Known for its heavy, thematic board games (Anachrony, Trickerion, Voidfall), publisher Mindclash Games strikes again with the announcement of its upcoming 2026 release: Courtroom: The Noir Trilogy.
Designed by Robin Hegedűs and Tünde Máté, and beautifully illustrated by Barbara Bernát and Villő Farkas, this new title plunges players straight into a thrilling courtroom drama set in a sleek noir universe.
The Pitch: Two Teams, One Truth, a Jury to Convince
In Courtroom, 2 to 6 players face off in two teams: Prosecution versus Defense. The goal? Investigate the exact same case from opposing angles to sway the jury’s verdict in your favor.
How It Plays
-
Investigation & Evidence Gathering: Both sides investigate simultaneously. Each team decides which evidence to reveal and which to keep secret, creating a tense dynamic where shared facts and hidden motives overlap.
-
Witness Testimony: During the testimony phase, teams secretly present evidence to witnesses. However, opportunities to object, force a question change, or press a witness are strictly limited!
-
Closing Arguments: Once all witnesses have been heard, each team constructs a closing argument to persuade the jury. A designated speaker delivers the speech, scoring points by hitting key narrative targets while countering the opposition’s claims.
What to Expect
The game will feature three standalone cases, each coming with its own unique storyline and investigative twist. Designed for players ages 14 and up with a 90-minute playtime, Courtroom: The Noir Trilogy is shaping up to be a must-have for fans of team-based deduction and tactical story-driven games.
Prepare your case — court will soon be in session!
