Akakor is a race, drafting, and dice management game for 2 to 5 players aged 8 and up, designed by Przemek Wojtkowiak and published by Granna. Deep within a lush rainforest, you take on the role of a band of intrepid explorers crossing a treacherous river and dense jungle to deliver lost artifacts to the top of a mystical Mayan pyramid.
To progress, players roll four action dice on their turn, with an optional reroll, and then select two dice to move their heroes, jump over obstacles, or move rafts along the river. Along the way, collecting artifacts, action tokens, and Masks of the Gods allows you to optimize your movements and double your points during the final climb.
Combining quick pick-up-and-play mechanics with great tactical tension, the game impresses with its 3D components featuring bridges, islands, and a collapsible 3D pyramid mounted at the center of the board. It offers a dynamic 30 to 45-minute adventure, perfectly balanced by a catch-up mechanic that ensures thrilling races right down to the final action!
