What's this?
Flip 7 is a card game with a “stop or encore” mechanic. The goal? Accumulate valuable cards without ever receiving the same number twice. The more you push your luck, the more you win… but be careful not to lose everything!
How do you play?
Each round is played clockwise. In turn, each player chooses between two options:
-
STOP : he stops playing, turns his cards face down and secures the points he has accumulated so far.
-
AGAIN : The Dealer hands him a card face up.
And then:
-
If the card is a Number that the player does not yet have , he keeps it and remains in the round.
-
If it is a Number already in his possession , he jumps: he loses all the points of the round, turns over his cards and does not play again until the next round.
-
If a player manages to collect 7 different Number cards , he achieves a Flip 7 : the round ends immediately, and he wins 15 bonus points in addition to the points on his cards.
-
If the card is a Special , its effect applies immediately (Forced Stop, Second Chance, etc.).
-
If it is a Bonus card , it is placed above the Numbers line and added to the score at the end of the round, if the player has not jumped.
Is it good?
Flip 7 appeals with its simple yet effective mechanics, with a stop-or-go principle that works perfectly. You’ll be crossing your fingers that you don’t draw a card you already have… or that your opponents will do it for you.
In our turn, we take risks depending on the progress of the round and the choices made by the other players.
We observe the cards played, we try our luck… and we laugh a lot. And that’s the main thing in a party game.
Special mention to the Special cards , which add a hint of interaction and chaos, perfect for spicing up games and bringing the necessary twists to avoid any repetitiveness.
In summary: an excellent party game to take anywhere, accessible and fun, which will appeal to all types of players.
