Literally: Bruno Faidutti’s new challenge

What's this?

You play as a postman who must piece together words from letters scattered by the wind . It’s a “Check and Write” type game (Roll & Write, but with cards) where every placement decision is crucial to optimizing your grid .

How do you play?

Each turn, the top two cards of the draw pile are revealed .

  1. Each player chooses only one of these two letters .

  2. He writes it in one of the 25 central squares of his grid .

  3. Exception: If the two letters drawn are identical, everyone must use that letter .

✨ Options and Jokers

To help you organize your grid, you have several bonuses that can only be used once per game :

  • Discarded Letters: Four times per game, you can refuse the two letters offered and write nothing that turn .

  • Jokers: * Blue (+): Write a letter on the outer edge to create a 6-letter word .

    • Eraser: To erase a letter already written .

    • 1+2: Write both letters provided instead of just one .

    • Black square: To block off a square (as in crossword puzzles) to separate words .

    • A ↔ B: Swap two letters already placed on the grid

🏆 Point Calculation

The game ends when the grids are full . A word must be at least 3 letters long to count.

First impressions

It’s a game that cleverly blends vocabulary and tactical placement . It offers high replayability thanks to the theme cards that guide your word-searching strategy .
