What's this?
The goal is to dominate Europe after the fall of the Western Roman Empire by controlling provinces and eliminating opposing kings.
How do you play?
The game is played in turns, with each player choosing one of 5 possible actions:
➡️ Recruit: Deploy a warrior to a controlled province. Each warrior has a cost in Tremis, and this cost increases as you deploy more.
➡️ Maneuver: Move your units to adjacent provinces. You can only move units to provinces under your control or neutral provinces.
➡️ Invade: Attack an uncontrolled province. If it is occupied by an enemy, this triggers a battle.
➡️ Claim: Take control of a province already occupied by your units. You must pay a certain number of Tremis according to the cost indicated on your player board.
➡️ Tax: Collect money (Tremis) according to the number of provinces controlled.
Battles
A battle is triggered when a province is invaded or contested. The player with the most Battle Points (BP) wins, based on the number of units present, the king, and the bribes paid.
Contestation
Opposing players can contest the actions of invading or claiming. This immediately results in a battle.
End of the game
The game ends as soon as a player fulfills a victory condition (territorial or military).
The victory conditions are:
Territorial victory: control 7 provinces.
Military victory: eliminate 2 opposing kings.
The other players calculate their Reign Score based on their accomplishments: kings eliminated, warriors on the board, provinces controlled, and accumulated treasure.
