In SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, a Eurogame for 1 to 4 players, you lead a scientific institution charged with searching for traces of life beyond planet Earth. The game is inspired by current or emerging technologies and efforts in space exploration.
Players will explore neighboring planets and their moons by launching probes from Earth while taking advantage of the ever-changing planetary positions. Decide whether to land on the surface to collect valuable samples or stay in orbit for a broader investigation. Additionally, by pointing your telescopes at distant star systems, you will be able to detect traces of extraterrestrial signals or unknown exoplanets and collect promising data to examine and study back on Earth.
On Earth, you can invest in upgrading your equipment to analyze incoming data more efficiently, increase the signal capacity of your telescopes, or expand your resources—all to expand the scope of your research that could lead to the discovery of extraterrestrial life forms.
You’ll also use over 200 cards to support your efforts or steer your research in a particular direction to gain additional bonuses and rewards. Each card has unique effects and illustrations representing real-world technologies, projects, and discoveries (like the ISS, the Large Hadron Collider, the Perseverance rover, the Voyager probe, and many more).
