Fans of Ironwood<\/strong> will soon have even more ways to expand their battles. Following Mindclash Games’<\/strong> announcement, Super Meeple<\/strong> has confirmed the French edition of Steel & Spirit<\/strong>, the game’s first expansion, scheduled for release in October<\/strong> with a retail price of \u20ac25<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The expansion introduces two new modules<\/strong> designed to deepen the game’s asymmetry while adding fresh tactical possibilities for both factions.<\/p>\n

The first module, Railways & Lanterns<\/strong>, allows the Ironclads<\/strong> to build railway lines, enabling their units to move more efficiently across the mountains. Meanwhile, the Woodwalkers<\/strong> can light their lanterns to summon a powerful vengeful spirit, a formidable ally in battle.<\/p>\n

The second module, Constructs & Ancients<\/strong>, adds brand-new units and abilities. The Ironclads<\/strong> gain access to impressive machines such as the locomotive<\/strong>, the airship<\/strong>, and the mobile foundry<\/strong>, providing greater mobility and new recruitment options. The Woodwalkers<\/strong>, on the other hand, receive the Ancients<\/strong>\u2014elemental beings representing fire, water, earth, and air\u2014that grant a variety of bonuses, including improved movement, recruitment, and card draw.<\/p>\n

With these two modules, Steel & Spirit<\/strong> promises to deepen Ironwood’s strategic gameplay while offering exciting new ways to approach each faction. It’s shaping up to be a must-have expansion for players looking to add even more tactical depth to the game.<\/p>\n
