Zone Phase<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1836\"><span>A new\u00a0<\/span><em data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1606\"><span>Zone<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0card is revealed, providing food and shelter. These cards form the environment in which animals will attempt to forage. Some areas (such as lakes or glaciers) require specific traits to access.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"3-phase-dalimentation\" class=\"\" data-start=\"1838\" data-end=\"1866\"><span>3. The strategy is to feed your animals efficiently while preventing others from doing so.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"4-phase-dextinction\" class=\"\" data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2406\"><span>4. Extinction Phase<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2407\" data-end=\"2717\"><span>Starving animals die unless they possess traits that allow them to survive (hibernation, stored fat, etc.). The cards are then reset for the new Era.
