A major critical hit on PC, Eremite Games' roguelite strategy game is set to hit our tabletops with Against the Storm: The Board Game<\/b><\/span>. Published by expert-game specialists Mindclash Games<\/b> and designed by a trio of authors (Anthony Howgego, Viktor P\u00e9ter, and Mih\u00e1ly Vincze), this cooperative adaptation scheduled for 2028 will invite 1 to 4 players<\/b> (aged 14 and up) to build settlements and weather the Storm, in intense sessions lasting 90 to 180 minutes<\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

In this cooperative city-builder, players take on the role of the Scorched Queen's Viceroys, leading one of seven available species (Humans, Beavers, Lizards, Harpies, Foxes, Frogs, or Bats)<\/span>. The core gameplay relies on asymmetry and cooperation: while the city and its resources are shared, each species brings its own strengths, needs, and priorities<\/span>. Over the course of the seasons (Drizzle<\/i>, Clearance<\/i>, and Storm<\/i>), players must plan their actions using Agenda cards, optimize automated production chains, and manage their villagers' morale (Resolve<\/i>)<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

True to the spirit of the original video game, no settlement is meant to last forever<\/span>. The players' goal is to fulfill the Queen's orders and earn Reputation before the Queen's Impatience brings an end to the expedition<\/span>. Between glade events, harsh weather, and managing the individual needs of various species, Against the Storm: The Board Game<\/b> promises a highly replayable tactical puzzle where adaptation takes priority over executing a perfect plan<\/span>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
